Lacrosse Technology
WE ARE OBSESSED WITH BEING THE BEST
Game changing product innovations are at the heart of our brand. We have been doing it for over 100 years... and in Lacrosse, we are just getting started.
CSTAR ADVANCED R&D LAB
At the center of our product design and development is our Center for Sports Technology and Research (CSTAR).
Located in sunny San Diego, this multi-sport research and development lab combines engineers, play testers, designers and developers under one building with one singular mission – to literally change the game with the next generation of equipment.
Our lacrosse development team has access to the latest robotic testing equipment, high speed cameras and motion capture systems, and advanced prototype equipment that allows us to create, test and iterate on our ideas. All of this is done in-house with direct feedback from our pros and play testers.
HEAD TECHNOLOGY

Torsion Rail Technology™
A slight twist in the sidewall strut gives the head peak performance stiffness while allowing the head to remain lightweight.
Found on Men’s HZRDUS head

Speed Step Technology™
A precision-crafted sidewall strut perfectly tunes the flex profile in the head to provide improved pocket feel, maximum power, and laser precise release out of the pocket.
Found on Men’s VEKTR and Women’s LYNX heads

High Scoop Angle™
Playtesting with the game's best players showed that a scoop angle range between 40°-80° is optimal for aggressive players who are scooping on the run and in tight quarters.
Found on Men’s HZRDUS, VEKTR and Women’s LYNX heads
HANDLE TECHNOLOGY

Constrictor Grip™
A raised, textured grip is imbedded into the graphic of the handle for added grip and control on your stick.
Found on select COMP 4 handles – look for the constrictor grip call out (Men’s & Women’s)

True Temper Flex Profiles™
True Temper Lacrosse engineers products to fit a variety of playing styles. Understanding that head and handle flex play a big role in performance, our Flex Profile scale helps players understand stiffness and flexibility between products. The lower the number, the stiffer the product.
Found in ALL Men's & Women's handles

Smartply™ Composite Tech
A proprietary composite construction delivers light weight, balanced feel, and industry-leading impact strength. Our exclusive True Temper process is what separates the quality of our composite lacrosse handles from the rest of the industry.
Found in ALL Men's & Women's handles
GLOVE TECHNOLOGY

Orbit Cuff™
A revolutionary three-piece glove technology that delivers full range wrist motion. The ORBIT Cuff allows the wrist to flex naturally when cradling, passing and shooting. More mobility mixed with targeted protection for the elite player.
Found on the Men's Zerolyte Glove

Premium AX Suede® Palm
AX Suede® palms deliver the best feel and touch possible. The palm features a flexible four-way stretch-and-recovery suede material for a secure, form-fitting shape. It’s both breathable and durable to hold up in any weather condition. Grip it and rip it with AX Suede® palms.
Found on all Men's Lacrosse Gloves

X-TEC™ Finger & Thumb Pads
X-TEC are additional finger and thumb pads that wrap around the index and thumb areas of the glove to help protect against stick checks at these key impact areas.
PROTECTIVE TECHNOLOGY

ZRB Technology™
Advanced ZRB TechnologyTM offers elite level protection: Meets NOCSAE commotio cordis performance standard (ND-200) for lacrosse.
Found on the Zerolyte Shoulder Pad, Zerolyte Liner and Cadet Youth Shoulder Pad

Hexashield™ Impact Protection
Next level protection strategically placed at key impact and slash zones on the pad. Designed as “vented armor” for your arms, these pads disperse impact from stick checks without adding any additional weight.
Found on Men's Zerolyte Arm Guards

Found on All Men's Zerolyte Arm Protection
DATA DRIVEN DESIGN
We believe that understanding the athlete and the science behind the game will lead us to the next breakthrough technology. Our focus is on the forces generated during a lacrosse game and how they interact with the equipment and the player’s natural motion. This data allows our engineers to constantly improve our equipment for the player so they can move more naturally, be better protected, shoot harder and more accurately and ultimately play their best.

WORLD CLASS MANUFACTURING
At True Temper Sports, our size and scale delivers world class manufacturing excellence. With factories on two continents and offices all around the world, our reach is global allowing for tightly controlled processes that provide the highest quality equipment in the world.

VALIDATED BY THE PLAYER
The ultimate decider on if our product goes to market is the player. We prototype and test all of our designs on field with players at all levels. This allows us to consolidate our feedback on what works and what doesn’t based on real game situations. Our confidence in our designs does not come from a lab – it comes from being validated by the player… if the player loves it we know we have something good.
